Sure, there are some boring bits just like every other job! But I think the key to being happy in your work is, “does the good stuff outweigh the bad?”
I like that I am working in an interesting, ever changing area, with really clever people in a job that has lots of flexibility-I can do my experiments or writing any time I like 🙂 And this more than makes up for the bad stuff!

Yes, especially since mine is underground!! I try to get out at lunch-time and go for a walk or something, because it can be tiring sitting at a desk all day!!

Yes! But since they moved my desk to another building to where the lab is, I have to run up and down at least twice a day 🙂

That’s what’s great about my job, I don’t do that — frequently out and about, meetings, experiments, collaborations, teaching etc.
