Question: If a person recieves an organ or limb from another person to replace one of their own, will the person inherit the donors features such as personality, traits, interests etc?

  1. If it’s not a brain transplant, it’s unlikely. 🙂

  2. No….When patients receive a transplant, they have to go on drugs to suppress their immune system, otherwise the new organ will be recognised as a foreign body and be rejected.
Personality and interests are all stored in your brain and we can’t do brain transplants yet!!

  3. Nope! That’s all in the brain!

I did watch a documentary once on people with heart transplants ‘inheriting’ some aspects of the donor’s personality…but I don’t know if that’s *really* true or not! I think the documentary was being a bit sensationalist….
