Interesting idea! At the moment we definitely don’t have technology to do this, and we still don’t really know what consciousness actually is. We know how various parts of the brain work, but we don’t know how everything combines to give us our consciousness, thoughts, and sense of self. I sometimes think it’s a bit scary that our consciousness is really just a product of lots of cells firing away in our brain!!

Not at this stage, but some people think that isn’t too far away. I’m more sceptical as to whether we’d ever get to this point.
