I never sleep well on a full moon!
I think it may be to do with all the extra light that is reflected off the full moon, it can be so bright sometimes!
Some people think that the small changes that a full moon can have on gravity can also control people’s moods-just like how the moon can affect the tides of the ocean.
This is where the word “lunatic” comes from-madness because of the moon (lunar is a word for things related to the moon)

Yes, I think it’s the extra light too. Although I can sleep through anything.

Yes it appears that full moon does effect sleep, especially in how long it takes to get to sleep. When it is the full moon we take longer to get to sleep.
We are still not sure why, but it is probably something to do with body rhythms and lunar cycles. The lunar cycles effect a lot of body rhythms and sleep is one of those.
Good question.
