There’s a large number of considerations when interacting with someone with autism, but it will depend on the person and their symptoms. Try to be aware of their difficulties in social situations, and make allowances for the fact that they might be distressed by things that don’t bother you (e.g., social interaction, certain noises etc.). It’s also good to communicate very clearly as what you say is likely to be taken literally. At the end of the day it boils down to having an understanding of their experience of the world, and appreciating that it’s quite different to your experience.
