Question: How long can a head live if it's been chopped off a live body?

    It wouldn’t have any blood flowing to it, so it can’t really…unless you’re in Futurama! 😀

    Witness accounts of beheadings in the old days said that after beheading the heads would seem to move, but that’s just muscle-twitching reflexes, not the head actually living!!

    Not long. Brain cells start to die within minutes when blood flow stops.
