Question: Why are there so much disorder of the brain?

  1. The brain is very complicated – sometimes it just needs an imbalance of the chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain to cause a psychological disorder, but disorders can also occur as a result of brain damage which may affect how a specific area works.

  2. It’s like any other organ, there are lots of things that can go wrong. Fortunately we’re much better these days at talking about it — in years gone by mental illness was seen as a personal fault, or something to be ashamed of, which is just not true. It should be thought of like any other illness, in which patients deserve respect, compassion, and safe treatments.
