Question: What area of your brain do you use the most as a scientist? and why?

Keywords:

  1. Probably my eyes, but that’s just because I have to use them to do all of my experiments on vision! 🙂

Other than that, I would use the language part of my brain when I am reading and writing, my hippocampus, which is where my memory is stored, and my frontal lobe to do some thinking about all the difficult problems in my research!!

  2. Good question! Frontal lobe is definitely important for planning and organising our work and doing it well. But the brain is about networks, rather than individual parts, so it’s all pretty important! 🙂
