Question: Did the world actually start with the big bang? I'm so confused!

Keywords: ,

  1. Well, none of us were there, but it is a theory with a lot of evidence.

That’s the thing about science, it doesn’t give you rock-hard certainty, but it does give you as much certainty as there is to be had.

The Big Bang Theory has been researched and thought over and adapted and thought over again. There is a lot of evidence that supports the assumptions of the theory. It’s the best theory we have, so we’ll have to go with it for now.

It is still entirely possible that we were pooped out by a spaceunicorn (which would be way cooler), but until we have evidence for it, I’m going with the Big Bang thing.

  2. That is the idea that has the most evidence that supports it and suggests it is most likely to be what happened.
The big bang is thought to have been the beginning of the universe and from that all the stars and planets formed. This all happened over billions of years though.
