Question: How does the Eardrum work?

Keywords:

  1. Just like a musical drum!
There is a thin membrane in the ear (the eardrum) that transmits vibrations (sound) in the air into vibrations in fluid, using tiny bones, called the osicles and another part of the ear called the cochlea.

  1. Cool! Thanks for answering Kristyn. That’s actually a big coincidence because I play drums for the junior band at our school! 😀

    • No worries, the drums-how cool! My eldest daughter is only 4, but she loves playing the drums, I think we’ll have to get some for her one day 🙂
