The brain is very complicated, and does way too many things to list here!
It’s made of nerve cells called neurons which is how it communicates between brain areas and with the rest of the body.
One word-electricity. The brain is like a battery and electrical signals pass between brain cells, via a couple of different ways, which results in communication between cells.
The brain is made up of fat, water and some sugars and proteins. The cells of the brain are called neurons, glia and the cells that line blood vessels.
